About Us
The Texas Demographic Center (TDC) functions as a focal point for the distribution of Census Bureau information for Texas.
The TDC is part of the national State Data Center (SDC) partnership program and supports the Census Bureau’s efforts in the areas of geography, product testing, survey participation, community partnership building, and other programs.
The TDC is housed under the Institute of Demographic and Socioeconomic Research (IDSER), within The University of Texas at San Antonio. IDSER conducts multidisciplinary research on demographic changes, focusing on migration, population, and urban/rural issues. The team undertakes grant-supported studies in population, transportation, education, health, housing, and social services.
